Pika describes itself as intuitive, not overwhelming. It puts video, images and sound in one place, with a studio for each, and tools like Swap Anything and Motion Transfer. Blooper is built for a different moment: when someone is paying for the film and it has to be right.

Models

As of October 2026, Pika offers its own Pika 2.5 and Pikaframes, and hosts other labs’ models on its plans, such as Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3 and Wan 3.0, plus image models and audio models for music, speech and sound effects.

Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 are in Blooper too. Pika’s own models, and its music and sound tools, are not. Blooper’s full list of models, each with its price, is on our pricing page.

How a project runs

Pika is a set of studios: Video, Image, Character, Music, Speech and SFX, plus tools like Swap Anything and Motion Transfer. For a creator making a clip for their own channel, that range in one app is a real strength.

Blooper works the way a production does. You write a brief in plain words, the way you would brief a crew. It asks the one question that would otherwise cost a day of wrong shots. It shows you stills to judge, and only the frames you keep become clips, in the order of the cut. When the client writes back on a frame, the shots that note touches update, and the earlier versions are kept. Every file shows what it was made from, so when a client asks “what changed?”, there is an answer.

Pricing

Pika sells monthly plans. As of October 2026, billed monthly: Starter at $10 with 900 credits, Creator at $35 with 3,150, and Fancy at $95 with 8,550, each cheaper billed yearly. The free plan has no monthly credits; you can buy credit packs. Plan credits do not roll over, and top-ups expire 365 days after purchase. Pika’s FAQ says commercial use comes with the paid plans, not the free one.

Blooper has no subscription. You buy prepaid credits, one credit is one cent, and they never expire. Every model’s price is published before you start.

Teams

We found no team plan on Pika’s pricing page or FAQ, only an Enterprise contact. In Blooper, credits belong to the team, so one purchase covers everyone, and guests can be invited to comment on a project.

Memory

Pika’s Character Studio makes a character you can use again across your creations. Blooper adds creative memory across projects: short notes and rules about how you, your team and each client work, which the agent reads before it plans a shot. “The product is never cropped” can be a team habit, and “emerald is the house colour” can belong to one client and never reach another. Creative memory is in early access: it runs on Blooper’s own team first, and a team admin switches it on when it reaches them.
